If you have had a claim, take immediate and appropriate steps to make sure everyone is safe and attended to, minimize existing damage and prevent further damage. Take photos to show the claim adjuster and verify damage and actions taken. For example, if you have furniture that is ruined and you’re ready to throw it in the dumpster before a claim adjuster has been out to see it, take a photo to show the claim adjuster.
