Abusive Employees… And Their Boyfriends

By June 20, 2025No Comments
No, this isn’t a Employers Practices Liability Insurance pitch.

Thursday afternoon, I’m minding my own business, being productive (sorta) and professional (again, sorta) and out of nowhere my remote FL employee decides it would be funny to yank my chain.  (I’m not naming names but IYKYK). She’s apparently still buzzing from the Florida Panthers recent Stanley Cup title and shoots me a text not just celebrating their win, but kudos to the other recent Miami championship teams, ending with a mean, profane put down of my Miami Dolphins!  Completely unsolicited.  I even paid her this week.  Well, too bad… the video was a link to Tik Tok that I don’t have and then it didn’t load on to her text and I couldn’t open it so I didn’t watch it.   Nope, she keeps trying but no luck.  Stubborn, and she won’t even debate that.  Fast forward to 6:30 PM.  She gets her boyfriend (I thought we were good, bro! – us guys gotta stick together – ‘Did I tell you how pissy your girlfriend was, today?’ kinda thing.  Maybe not.)  to text it to me, which he unhesitatingly does.  It wasn’t even funny.  And then he tries some downplay like ‘well, the fish are still better than the Pats’ like that counts for anything.   Lame, Pete (oops did that slip out?), and it looks like ‘my girlfriend made me do it’ which is even lamer (‘more lame?’).

Not sure what I did to deserve it, but Ok.  Game on!

17-0.  And you know what I’m talking about.

Here’s the stupid, profane video.  But you were warned.  https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8rfh2gY/  I didn’t even check to see if it works.  Based on prior experience probably not.  You’ll have to text Pete.  Call me for his number.
