FEMA Funds Aren’t Flowing

By October 8, 2024No Comments

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) “does not have the funds” to see Americans through the rest of Atlantic Hurricane season, said Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Oct. 2nd and there are reports that the money is slow to assist those recently devastated by Hurricane Helene.  It’s reported that only 2% of properties affected by Helene had flood insurance and federal assistance is slow or maybe not coming at all.  Not good news with major Hurricane Milton about to hit Florida.  Don’t get financially wiped out.  Make sure you’re as self-reliant as you can be.  A big part of that is to get insurance and make sure it is the right insurance for you.  That’s what we do.  Call us.  203-377-4394
