Congress has not yet negotiated a continuing resolution to fund the federal government. That means the NFIP is headed for a shut down, beginning Feb. 1st. NFIP flood policies that are being renewed may be delayed. New policies cannot be issued and coverage and property cannot be added to existing policies.
