Summer is pretty much over, but September marks the peak of hurricane season. The forecasts earlier this year predicted a very active season. So far we’ve been fortunate but it’s not over yet, despite the cooler weather, and a couple are brewing in the Atlantic now. Hurricanes that make landfall in the Northeast are almost always in the second half of the season which we are now entering. Remember Superstorm Sandy? It didn’t hit Connecticut until October 29th.
